The celebrations for India Women’s historic World Cup victory have taken over the nation. And one of the most heartwarming reactions came from Smriti Mandhana’s boyfriend, filmmaker and music composer Palash Muchhal.

After India’s thrilling win over South Africa in the final at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on Sunday, Palash took to social media to share a cute and emotional tribute to Smriti, who played a key role in the team’s maiden ODI World Cup triumph.

Filmmaker and music composer Palash Muchhal posted a beautiful photo with rumoured girlfriend Smriti Mandhana from inside the stadium, both smiling ear to ear. 

Smriti, draped in the Indian flag and proudly holding the World Cup trophy, stood beside Palash, who had his arm wrapped lovingly around her shoulders.

This isn’t the first time Palash has shown his support for Smriti. Earlier, after India’s semi-final win, he had shared another post with the caption “Sabse aage hai hum Hindustani”, which went viral among cricket fans.

Smriti to tie the knot with Palash soon

Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s love story has also caught the public’s attention. The two reportedly began dating in 2019 but kept their relationship private for several years. 

They made it Instagram official last year, and recently, Palash confirmed their upcoming wedding during a public event.

According to a TOI report, their wedding festivities will begin on November 20 in Sangli, Maharashtra, making this month a double celebration for the power couple.
