Star Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana might soon be tying the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Palash Muchhal. The talented music director and filmmaker made a playful hint about their marriage during a recent event in his hometown, Indore.

Mandhana and Palash have reportedly been dating for over 5 years now. The latter has been spotted cheering for Smriti from the stands multiple times.

After making their relationship official, Muchhal has now spilled beans on their marriage plans.

Palash Muchhal confirms wedding bells with Smriti Mandhana

Speaking at a “Ru-Ba-Ru” programme at the State Press Club in Indore, Palash Muchhal laughed and said, “Smriti Mandhana will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore. Indore resides with me.” 

His statement instantly went viral, with fans calling it a major love revelation. At the time of his comments, Smriti Mandhana was in Indore for the ICC Women’s One Day World Cup match against England, showing that cricket and love are both keeping her busy.

Palash Muchhal comes from a musical family, as his elder sister Palak Muchhal is a popular Bollywood singer who has lent her voice to hit films starring Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan. 

Palash himself is a well-known music director and filmmaker, having composed several Bollywood songs. Currently, he is in Indore shooting his directorial venture “Raju Bajewala”, which stars TV and web series actors Avika Gor and Chandan Roy.

Palash and Smriti have been dating since 2019

According to reports, Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana’s relationship began around 2019. On 7 July 2024, Palash posted an Instagram picture with Smriti celebrating “5 years of togetherness”.

Palash has also been seen supporting Smriti at her matches (for example, at the WPL) and sharing pictures on social media of the two together. While the exact date of their wedding is yet to be revealed, their union will surely be watched by millions across the country.
