Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have secured their spot in the finals of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 after a thrilling victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). 

Now, they are set to face Sunrisers Hyderabad once again in the final showdown. This comes after Sunrisers Hyderabad won the second qualifier by defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) for 36 runs.

In the qualifier, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) competed without their star opener Phil Salt, who had departed for England to participate in a practice tournament against Pakistan ahead of the T20 World Cup.

It's undeniable that Shahrukh Khan is one of the most beloved celebrities in India, with a widespread fan following not only within the country but also internationally. Phil Salt seems to be one of his fans now after his KKR stint this season. 

Phil Salt recently expressed admiration for KKR owner Shahrukh Khan in a recent interview with the franchise. 

"SRK is brilliant. He’s full of energy all the time. If you just met him and you didn’t know who he was, you’d have no idea that he's this big star in so many different fields just because he’s such a down-to-earth fella" - said the England wicket keeper batter.

Salt also emphasized that he couldn't speak highly enough of Shahrukh Khan, mentioning that the KKR owner was genuinely invested in the players and wished for their success.

 As KKR gears up to face SRH in the finals of IPL 2024 on Sunday, Shahrukh Khan's support and encouragement will undoubtedly serve as a motivating factor for the team.
