Dhruv Jurel received a nasty blow on his neck on Friday (May 24) when Sunrisers Hyderabad took on Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2024 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

T Natarajan handed him the blow, as he bowled a slower bouncer to Jurel, who went for an early pull, which cost him badly. He was in so much pain, and no wonder he was down immediately.

SRH players soon checked him, so was RR physiotherapist, and after a few minutes, Jurel stood up and kept playing till the end.

However, Jurel's valiant knock of 56* off 35 balls went in vain, as Rajasthan could only muster 139/7 in reply of Sunrisers Hyderabad's 175/9. In the process, the Pat Cummins-led side reached the final of the ongoing edition, and will face Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday at the same venue.

Jurel smashed seven fours and one six in a spirited knock, while Yashasvi Jaiswal played a handy innings, scoring 42 off 21 balls. The rest, however, failed to live up to the expectations. In fact, barring the two, no one crossed the 10-run mark.
