After his IPL heroics and a heartbreaking Mumbai T20 2025 loss, Shreyas Iyer has been off the radar for a few days. Recently, he was also seen trying his hands at Go-Karting, but the real entertainer for fans came when he got bowled out by someone special in his life.

A clip of Shreyas Iyer playing cricket with his mother in his living room showed the cricketer enjoying the session, as posted by Punjab Kings' official social media handle.

Shreyas Iyer Left Stunned As Mom Bowls Him Out

In the clip, Shreyas Iyer was seen batting in the alley of their living room while his mother, Rohini Iyer, tried her hands at bowling. The first ball was a bit fuller, and Iyer slammed it across his bat.

On the second ball, he missed the swing as his mother jumped in ecstasy after clean-bowling her son. Iyer, stunned by the delivery, struck the pose for a few seconds before getting ready for another delivery.

Punjab Kings shared the clip on their social media handle with a cute caption stating, "Only time SARPANCH won't mind getting bowled!"

The text inside the video also highlighted the hilarious cricket session between mother and son: "Shreyas Iyer vs Mom: The real World Cup Final in Living Room."

Shreyas Iyer's Turn Of Fortunes

The light-hearted moment follows a dramatic season for Iyer, both in the IPL and domestic cricket. Punjab Kings acquired him for INR 26.75 crore in the 2025 mega auction. He went on to lead the team to their first IPL final since 2014. Although Punjab narrowly lost to RCB by six runs, Iyer’s leadership earned wide praise.

However, his fortunes dipped in the 2025 T20 Mumbai League, where he captained SoBo Mumbai Falcons to the final but fell short against South Central Maratha Royals at Wankhede. Iyer managed only 62 runs in five innings, averaging 12.4, marking his fourth final as captain in just over a year.
