Sachin Tendulkar, the legend of Indian cricket, met the love of his life, Anjali Mehta, when he was just 17 years old. Their love story is straight out of a Bollywood film, full of sweet moments, surprises, and deep love.

It all started at the Mumbai airport, where Anjali had gone to pick up her mother. She noticed a young boy and found him very cute. That boy was Sachin, who had just started getting famous in cricket. 

Anjali, recognising the emerging talent, ran after him, shouting, "Sachin! Sachin!" which embarrassed him a lot. He kept looking down and didn’t even respond.

Later, Anjali managed to get Sachin’s phone number through a friend and called him. Luckily, he answered. When she introduced herself as the girl from the airport, Sachin surprised her by remembering the colour of her T-shirt: orange. That moment made Anjali realise that he had noticed her too.

Their relationship slowly grew stronger. Since Sachin Tendulkar was becoming famous, it was difficult for the couple to go out freely. On one occasion, they went to watch a movie, Roja. 

Sachin wore a fake beard and glasses to hide his identity, but his disguise didn’t last long. During the interval, fans recognised him, and they had to leave the theatre midway.

Anjali is six years older than Sachin, but that never affected their love. After dating for 5 years, they got married on May 24, 1995. They were blessed with two children, Sara in 1997 and Arjun in 1999.

Anjali, a trained doctor, gave up her successful career to support Sachin and take care of the family. She never regretted this decision and always stood by Sachin during his highs and lows.
