Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, has shared a cryptic post on social media that has sparked controversy. The post came just after Shami gave an interview where he opened up about his personal life and said he didn’t want to live in the past or regret anything.

In his recent interview, Shami avoided speaking about his personal disputes. When asked about regrets, he said, “Leave that. I never regret the past. What’s gone is gone. I don’t want to blame anyone, including myself. I want to focus on cricket. I don’t need controversies.”

Hasin Jahan Hits Back At Shami

However, after this interview with News24 aired, the cricketer’s estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, dropped a cryptic reply on Instagram. She said any attempt to intimidate her won’t work, as she will only get stronger with time.

"Pagal awara Kutto se darna hota mujhe, to 2018 me hi dar jaati. Jitna chahe jor lagale mujhe darane ki, jhukane ki, barbad karne ki mai Allah ke karam se aur mazboot aur mazboot bante jaungi inshallah," she wrote in caption.

Her post is seen as a reference to 2018, when she filed an FIR against Mohammed Shami and his family at the Jadavpur police station, accusing them of domestic violence and also alleging that Shami was involved in match-fixing. 

The case created a storm back then, but Shami continued to play for India and insisted he wanted to keep his focus only on cricket. 

Mohammed Shami Had A Humiliating Fall Out With Wife

Shami and Hasin Jahan got married in 2014 but began living separately four years later.  Their divorce battle has remained public, with Jahan repeatedly accusing Shami of being a womaniser and claiming he neglects their daughter’s education while spending money on girlfriends. 

In an old interview, Mohammed Shami admitted to battling depression during this phase and having suicidal thoughts. However, his family stood by him like a rock and rescued him from a dark space.
