India fast bowler Mohammed Shami recently jumped on the viral meme trend "Cheen Tapak Dum Dum," sharing a lighthearted moment with fellow cricketers Tilak Varma, Shardul Thakur, Sarfaraz Khan, and Kuldeep Sen.

The group was seen enjoying themselves at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), where Shami is in the final stages of his rehab. Mohammed Shami has been out of cricket since the ODI World Cup last November.

Shami posted the video on his official Instagram account, captioning it, "Catching the trend wave; Cheen Tapak Dum Dum 🤟🤟. Tune in and vibe with us."

The trend stems from the popular Indian animated series "Chhota Bheem," specifically a phrase used by a villain in the show’s fourth season, episode 47. Since its debut in 2008, the series has become a favorite among children, featuring the adventures of a young boy named Bheem and his friends in the fictional town of Dholakpur.

In late July, Shami expressed his eagerness to return to cricket, stating his intention to play for Bengal before rejoining the national team. He also participated in informal motivational and fitness sessions with state players, helping them prepare mentally and physically.

Though Shami might miss some or all of India’s home Tests against Bangladesh and New Zealand, he is focused on regaining his bowling rhythm in time for the crucial tour of Australia.
