In the 24th match between Southern Brave Women and Trent Rockets Women at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Southampton on August 10, 2024, Southern Brave won the toss and elected to field. 

Despite an excellent start, taking a wicket on the very first ball, Southern Brave struggled to contain Trent Rockets, who managed to score 155/7 from their 100 balls.

In Southern Brave's chase, Smriti Mandhana played brilliant innings. She scored 42 runs off 27 balls, which included seven boundaries. 

A standout moment in her innings was her first four, which came off the 16th ball. It was an exquisite cover drive that threaded the gap between cover and mid-off, that showcased her timing and precision.

Mandhana's cover drive impressed when she faced Nat Sciver-Brunt, she welcomed her with a beautifully driven boundary through extra cover off a full-length delivery on the off stump. 

This boundary further highlighted her skill and set the tone for Southern Brave's pursuit of the target.

Later on, Trent Rockets Women secured a convincing 24-run victory over Southern Brave Women. Despite the challenging target of 156, Southern Brave’s chase faltered under pressure which led to their continued struggles this season.
