Bangladesh opening batter Litton Das has visited the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal along with the rest of his family. In his recent social media post, the cricketer shared pictures of his religious visit alongside his wife Devashri Biswas Sonchita and daughter.
It is worth noting that Das was recently excluded from Bangladesh’s 2025 ICC Champions Trophy line-up in Pakistan owing to his string of low scores in international cricket. As he continues his spiritual journey, one can assume that the 30-year-old is hoping for a redemption call back to the national team.
Litton Das makes holy visit to Nepal
On Wednesday, April 2, Litton Das shared a couple of pictures of himself alongside his family from his religious visit to the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal. In the caption, the cricketer wrote:
“Visited Pashupatinath temple to witness Lord Shiva’s presence in every corner of this auspicious place.”
In a bid to make his return to Bangladesh’s national line-up, Litton Das recently played five matches for the Gulshan Cricket Club in the 50-overs tournament, the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. The blistering left-handed batter listed two cracking half-centuries, scoring 212 runs in all from five innings at an average of 42.40.
A seasoned Bangladeshi campaigner, Litton Das has not played a single international match since his below-par outing across all formats in the West Indies late last year. He was excluded by the BCB for Bangladesh’s 2025 ICC Champions Trophy campaign in Pakistan and in the UAE.
Litton Das will now be hoping to make his international return through Bangladesh’s upcoming two-match Test tour of Zimbabwe later this month.
