Firebrand opening batter Travis Head is set to reprise his role for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise in their upcoming away match against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The match, marking the 15th fixture of the IPL 2025 season, will be hosted by the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday, April 3.
Head has been in prolific touch with the bat off late, considering the blistering left-hander has already minted 136 runs in just three innings this season at an average of 45.33. Moreover, the 31-year-old has been striking at an astonishing 191.54. Ahead of the match against familiar nemesis KKR, Travis Head finds himself on the verge of scaling some elite batting records and milestones. Here is a look at the list of all records the cricketer can achieve in the game.
1. On The Verge Of 50 IPL Sixes
Travis Head made his IPL debut back in 2016 for the RCB. To date, the left-hander has accrued 46 sixes in the tournament spanning just 28 innings. The cricketer needs just four more sixes to became the latest Australian batter to complete 50 maximums in IPL.
Given his current form, Head might well reach the milestone figure in the game against KKR.
2. Six Hits Away From 100 IPL Fours
Travis Head also needs just six more boundaries to complete 100 fours in IPL. Notably, the blistering opening batter amassed 64 of those boundaries back in IPL 2024 last year alone. In the ongoing IPL 2025 season, Head has found the fence 18 times so far in three innings.
3. Just One Away From 50 T20 Sixes In India
While Travis Head has launched 46 sixes in IPL matches, the Australian aggressor has also cleared the fence on three separate occasions, albeit in T20 internationals played in India. With an overall tally of 49 T20 sixes, Head needs just one more hit to complete 50 sixes in India in the format. The cricketer has played 33 matches in India, including five internationals to list 117 boundaries and 49 maximums.
4. 200 Sixes In T20 Cricket
Travis Head has overall belted 194 sixes in his T20 career so far. Having made his format debut back in January 2013 with a BBL game in Adelaide, Head has played 149 T20 matches to date. From his collection of 194 maximums, the raging left-hander has recorded 53 of those in T20Is for Australia, 46 for two separate franchises in IPL, and 61 of them in Big Bash matches, all for the Adelaide Strikers.
