The whole world of cricket is celebrating Afghanistan’s heroics in the T20 World Cup 2024, where they have reached the semi-finals by beating Australia and Bangladesh in successive fixtures. 

Bollywood’s one of the biggest superstars, Suniel Shetty, has also joined the club, and he could not hold himself from congratulating them on social media.

On Tuesday morning, Shetty, who is also KL Rahul’s father-in-law, posted a clip of Afghanistan’s joyous celebration, where Rashid was hoisted by one of Afghanistan player’s shoulders. 

"Oohh what a win for Afghanistan!!! A much deserved win for a brilliant team and a beautiful country. Kabul celebrates today... So does the world,” captioned the 62-year-old, as he watched the video on television.

Afghanistan, led by Rashid Khan, have been a sensational side in the T20 World Cup 2024. They were on the cusp of heartbreak against Bangladesh until Naveen-ul-Haq and Rashid staged a spectacular turnaround to change the fortunes of their side out of nowhere.

Rashid and his boys will next meet South Africa in the first semi-final of the ongoing edition on June 27.
