The five-match Test series between India and England is intriguingly poised a 1-1. With both teams winning one match apiece, the action now shifts to Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. Team India marked their arrival in Rajkot on Monday.

The Indian captain Rohit Sharma has been allocated the presidential suite room of the Royal Heritage theme, which presents the Royal culture of Saurashtra. Additionally, the royal hotel has made special arrangements for the players during their stay - including an array of Gujarati delicacies.

The hotel director said that they have prepared special Gujarati delicacies for the players, such as Fafda, Jalebi, Khakhra, Gathiya, Thepla, and Khman will be served for breakfast, while special Khatiyawadi food such as Dahi Tikari, Vagherela Rotlo (Bajra Roti fried with yogurt and garlic), Khichdi Kadhi will be served for dinner.

Reportedly, the Indian team players love eating Khichdi-Kadhi, especially KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya. Legendary Indian captain MS Dhoni also used to love eating Khichdi-Kadhi.

KL Rahul ruled out for third Test; Devdutt Padikkal announced as replacement

Ahead of the third Test match, KL Rahul has been ruled out due to a sore knee. The BCCI confirmed the development in a statement issued on X (formerly called Twitter).

Earlier, the Karnataka batter was added to the squad but his availability was subject to fitness. However, it has now been learned that he isn’t fully fit but is progressing well under the BCCI medical team.

Rahul is, currently, at the National Cricket Academy for his recovery. He is expected to be fully fit for the fourth and the fifth Test match. The selection committee has also named Devdutt Padikkal as his replacement for the third Test match.
