India’s Women’s World Cup 2025 champions have made another historic statement on the front page of Vogue India. Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma, Shafali Verma and rising opener Pratika Rawal have featured together in a powerful, celebratory cover shoot.
India Women beat South Africa in the epic finale held at Navi Mumbai on November 2. The hosts defended 298 runs courtesy of Deepti's five-wicket-haul.
India Women cricket team honoured by Vogue
That victory led India Women to their maiden Women’s World Cup title. After decades of hardships and fighting for recognition, the women’s team got their due and in style.
Meanwhile, to honour the team’s historic triumph, fashion magazine Vogue featured World Cup-winning players Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma, Shafali Verma and Pratika Rawal on the cover page.
All players were dressed in yellow and green-themed outfits and posed with wide smiles.

Rawal had a leg cast on as she had injured her ankle before the semi-final against Australia. As a result, she was ruled out, and Verma replaced her as opener.
Interestingly, the injury replacement did wonders, as Shafali Verma scored 87 off 78 balls in the final to win the Player of the Match award.
India Women to the next tour to Australia
Meanwhile, after the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 win, the India Women have earned their much-deserved rest. A tour to Bangladesh has been postponed due to political unrest.
Now, the team’s next assignment will be a bilateral tour to Australia. The series will begin in February with a 3-game T20I series, followed by a 3-game ODI series, and then will conclude with a only Test.
