In a video that is now going viral on social media, Indian opener Rohit Sharma is seen forgetting his empty Apple AirPods case on the team bus. The incident happened when the Indian team reached the airport after their ODI game in Ranchi.

Rohit has a history of being forgetful, and it has now become one of his most lovable traits. At Ranchi airport, the former skipper had another scare as he left behind his AirPods case.

In the video shared on X, Rohit Sharma can be seen wearing his AirPods in his ears, but the case was left behind on the bus. 

A member of the support staff soon realised this and brought the forgotten case to him at the airport. When Rohit received it, he smiled warmly and thanked the staff member, making fans adore him even more. 

This is not the first time Rohit has been caught in a forgetful moment. During the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match in 2024, he famously forgot that he already had the coin in his pocket during the toss. 

He kept asking for the coin while Pakistan captain Babar Azam stood beside him, trying not to laugh. That moment also went viral and became a fan favourite. Besides, he often used to forget team changes during tosses when he was captain.

After quitting the T20I and Test formats and losing ODI captaincy, Rohit Sharma is putting up a brave fight to be in contention for the 2027 ODI World Cup.

He hit 121 in Australia and 57 against South Africa in Ranchi. Not only that, off the field, Rohit has shed over 10 kilos to be the best version of himself physically. 

He is leaner than ever and is more agile on the field. With this performance, it will be hard for India to ignore Rohit Sharma for the big event in 2027.
