Canadian rapper and singer Drake has placed a massive bet on the upcoming India vs Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup 2024.

The highly anticipated clash is scheduled for Sunday, June 9, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.


Drake’s Rs 5.4 Crore Bet on IND vs PAK Match

Known for his high-stakes gambling, Drake has wagered Rs 5.4 crore (USD 650,000) on Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, to win the match.

India are widely considered the favourite for this intense showdown, given their dominant track record against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup.

Out of their previous eight encounters, India have won seven, with Pakistan securing a lone victory in the 2021 edition. Drake's decision to back India reflects their strong performance history against their rivals.

In their opening matches of the T20 World Cup 2024, India had a convincing eight-wicket victory over Ireland, chasing a modest target of 97 runs.

Conversely, Pakistan faced a surprising defeat against the USA in a thrilling Super Over, after the co-hosts matched Pakistan's score of 159 runs in 20 overs.

The betting platform Stake confirmed Drake's participation, and if he wins, he will receive USD 650,000, approximately Rs 5.4 crore in Indian currency.

In Pakistani rupees, his bet amount converts to around Rs 18.19 crore PKR, and the potential winnings are around Rs 25.47 crore PKR.

Drake's recent betting success includes a Rs 2.5 crore wager on Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024 final, where he earned a payout of Rs 4.5 crore following KKR's victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad.

With his latest bet on India, cricket fans are eager to see if Drake will continue his winning streak or if Pakistan will pull off an upset.
