In a historic contest that happened at Melbourne, Virat Kohli led India to victory against Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. This was the last encounter between the two teams in T20Is.

The India-Pakistan rivalry is the biggest in world cricket, encompassing not just sports but also political tensions. Despite India's dominance over Pakistan in recent years, this remains one of the most intense cricket rivalries.

The 2022 T20 World Cup clash between India and Pakistan was unforgettable. Batting first, Pakistan lost Babar Azam on the first ball and soon after, Mohammad Rizwan. However, Shaan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed steadied the innings. 

From 91-2, Pakistan fell to 120-7 but recovered to post 159-8 thanks to some late hitting from Iftikhar and Shaheen Afridi.

Chasing 160, India also struggled early, losing openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul cheaply. Suryakumar Yadav and Axar Patel followed, leaving India at 31-4.

But Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya then formed a vital 113-run partnership. With 28 runs needed from the last 8 balls, Kohli hit Haris Rauf for two sixes, bringing the target to 16 from 6 balls. Despite losing Pandya, Kohli led India to a memorable victory in the last over.

As India faces Pakistan tomorrow, India hope Kohli can deliver another extraordinary performance like in the 2022 game.
