Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta has lavished a significant praise on CSK great and former Indian captain MS Dhoni. Responding to a fan on social media, the Bollywood actress also reflected her team’s performance against CSK at Dharamshala on May 5.

Preity Zinta hails MS Dhoni after PBKS defeat

Preity Zinta attended Dharamshala’s HPCA Stadium on May 5 to witness Punjab Kings’ home IPL 2024 game against the visiting CSK troops. Unfortunately for the PBKS co-owner, her team slumped to a huge 28-run defeat against the ‘Yellow Brigade’.

A day after the defeat, the Bollywood actress took to X (formerly Twitter) and responded to a fan’s query regarding the possibility of acquiring CSK great MS Dhoni for the Punjab Kings franchise. She expressed her admiration for the former CSK skipper, and claimed that anyone indeed would love to have him in their respective teams.

Preity Zinta also stated her bittersweet memories from her Dharamshala trip, claiming that she had attended the stadium to watch her team win and see MS Dhoni smack a few big sixes. However, both her wishes came to a crashing end as Punjab Kings were walloped by 28 runs while Dhoni was dismissed for a first-ball duck by Harshal Patel.

Meanwhile, the defeat to Punjab Kings franchise halted their new-found winning run, and also hampered their IPL 2024 playoffs prospects.

They are now required to win each of their remaining three IPL 2024 league stage fixtures with emphatic margins in a bid to keep their playoffs hopes alive. Punjab Kings will now be facing the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) group on May 9 at Dharamshala.
