'And They Gave It To Rohit'- Anil Kapoor's Son Slams BCCI For Replacing Kohli As Test Captain

Watching Test cricket is a spectacle that unfolds drama and action, all in a span of five days. And Virat Kohli is the prime star in every series he has been part of throughout his career.

Kohli, who once used to be one of the most aggressive skippers in the red-ball format, is no more at the helm of things. This concerns Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor's son, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, who is a cricket fan himself.

Kapoor, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), quoted a video post from the India-England series where Kohli led the national side brilliantly, making it difficult for the English to sustain.

He mentioned that he won't be able to get over the fact that Virat is not the skipper of the side anymore as they could have built further memories together, but unfortunately, they can't.

In his words, he is a once-in-a-lifetime captain, but instead, the BCCI chose Rohit Sharma as his successor.

"I won’t ever be able to get over VK not being captain anymore and all the memories we could’ve had … truly sad .. a once in a lifetime captain / personality and they gave it to Rohit."

To the unversed, Virat stepped down from Test captaincy after India's previous tour to South Africa as his difference with the BCCI grew further.

Talking about the current series, India are in the Rainbow Nation for the Two-match Test series against the same opposition, with the first of the games currently going on in Centurion.
