Suryakumar Yadav has been the talk of the town since his game-changing catch in the final of the T20 World Cup. He was made the captain of the Indian side in T20Is after that historic triumph and his stocks have seen rapid rise in recent times. 

Now, Rohit Juglan, the cricket journalist has claimed that Kolkata Knight Riders have unofficially offered captaincy to the 360-degree batter, a revelation if true, would be a huge change and will massively affect both KKR and Mumbai Indians. 

Suryakumar Yadav has been an integral part of Mumbai Indians for quite a few years now, but with Hardik Pandya taking over the leadership role in the last season, there have been rumours that SKY would move to another franchise that can hand him the captaincy role.

Juglan also claimed that Sheryas Iyer could be traded to Mumbai Indians in place of Suryakumar Yadav which would also be a big surprise as Iyer led KKR to a title win in the 2024 season. 

The journalist though did not reveal his sources and it could all be just his analysis, as he recently also claimed that DC and LSG have kept 50 Crores to buy Rohit Sharma in IPL 2025 Auction if the Hitman does end up leaving Mumbai Indians.
