He is a genuine match-winner too, and that makes him a hot asset ahead of the 2025 IPL auctions with rumours of him leaving MI franchise getting louder and louder with each passing day.

Amidst all these rumours, a cricket journalist Rohit Juglan has claimed that Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants have both kept 50 Crores aside in their kitty if Rohit Sharma does come up in auction.

The journalist stated that both the franchises are just waiting for confirmation about Rohit Sharma's future in Mumbai Indians, and if they get a chance in auction, they seem to be ready to go all-out in pursuit of current Indian ODI and Test captain.

Rohit Sharma Might Lead LSG In IPL 2025

There are rumours that KL Rahul will part ways with Lucknow Super Giants after some differences popped up between him and the franchise owners during the 2024 season. 

So, if he does leave the franchise, LSG would need an experienced head to lead them and Rohit Sharma would be a perfect candidate for the role with his leadership skills and brand power.
