Indian cricket legend and fan-favourite Yuvraj Singh is all set to lead India Champions once again in the second edition of the World Championship of Legends (WCL). The tournament will begin in July in the United Kingdom, and India will be the defending champion.
The first season of the WCL saw Yuvraj, Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan, and Yusuf Pathan dominating the tournament.
Their victorious campaign, which featured a nail-biting win over arch-rivals Pakistan in the final, made India Champions the team to beat in the tournament.
Yuvraj Singh To Return To Lead India Champions In WCL 2
Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh, who guided India Champions to a historic victory in the inaugural season of WCL, will be at the helm as India Champions look to defend their title in season 2 this year.
Adding to the excitement, former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan is set to make his WCL debut, further strengthening the squad.
India Champions, owned by Sumant Bahl, Salman Ahmed, and Jaspal Bahra, will return to Edgbaston this year, aiming to reclaim glory against strong teams from Australia, West Indies, England, Pakistan, and South Africa.
With Yuvraj leading the charge and Shikhar Dhawan ready to leave his mark, India Champions will be a force to reckon with in WCL Season 2.
Pakistan To Have New Captain For WCL 2
Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed will make his return to competitive cricket as he joins Pakistan Champions for the second edition of the World Championship of Legends (WCL). The veteran wicketkeeper-batter, who has been out of the national setup since 2023, will lead his side this year.
As the tournament prepares to begin Season 2 on July 18, 2025, Sarfaraz's comeback is likely to give Pakistan a boost. Pakistan Champions will look to redeem themselves in WCL 2025 following last year's disappointment as Sarfaraz joins the squad once again.
