For the second time in as many weeks, Yuvraj Singh has issued a ‘special warning’ to SRH’s breakout star Abhishek Sharma.

The dashing opening batsman drilled a match-winning 37 from just 12 balls against CSK at Hyderabad on April 5. Blazing SRH near the 50-run mark while chasing 166 inside the first three overs of the innings, Sharma’s thunderclap was eventually curtailed after he sliced one over cover off Deepak Chahar.

While Yuvraj Singh hailed the youngster’s match-winning knock for SRH, the legendary all-rounder also issued a stern warning over his manner of dismissal, doing so for the second time this IPL 2024 season.

Young opener Abhishek Sharma set up SRH’s run-chase against CSK with a whirlwind 12-ball 37. The 23-year-old even took a special liking to Mukesh Choudhary, taking CSK’s new-ball pacer for a 27-run opening over.

While collecting his ‘Player of the Match’ award during the presentation ceremony, young Abhishek thanked Yuvraj Singh and Brian Lara for assisting him with invaluable batting tips.

While Yuvraj acknowledged the gesture, he also questioned the youngster’s manner of dismissal to Deepak Chahar by sharing a hilarious GIF on X (formerly Twitter).

Yuvraj Singh had also criticized Abhishek Sharma late last month when the youngster was holed out at deep midwicket against Mumbai Indians after scoring a 23-ball 63 at Hyderabad.

Back then, Yuvraj did so by issuing a special ‘chappal’ warning for the Punjab-based cricketer.

Abhishek Sharma and the rest of his SRH teammates will now face Punjab Kings in match number 23 of the ongoing IPL 2024 season. The much-awaited contest will be staged at Mullanpur on April 9.
