Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Abhishek Sharma has been a standout performer in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) season. His consistent performances with the bat have been instrumental in SRH's campaign. 

However, it was in the 18th match of the IPL 2024 against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) that Abhishek Sharma showcased an extraordinary display of batting prowess, particularly against CSK's left-arm pacer Mukesh Choudhary.

Choudhary, who was bowling his first IPL over in over a year, found himself under immense pressure as Abhishek Sharma launched a stunning assault, plundering 27 runs off his over. This onslaught came at a crucial juncture in the match, with CSK already posting a formidable total of 165 runs. 

The second over of the innings witnessed an exhibition of sublime hitting from Abhishek Sharma.

The first ball, delivered full and swinging away, was effortlessly lifted over the bowler's head for a boundary. Despite a dot ball following, Abhishek Sharma continued his onslaught. The third delivery was dispatched over fine leg, followed by a powerful pull shot over deep midwicket off the fifth ball.

To compound matters for Choudhary, the next delivery was a no-ball, and Abhishek Sharma capitalized on the ensuing free hit by smashing it over long-off.

The final delivery of the over was dispatched over extra cover, completing a remarkable sequence of boundaries and sixes. Abhishek Sharma's ability to capitalize on loose deliveries was evident as he punished Choudhary with impeccable timing and placement. 

With four boundaries and a six in just seven deliveries, Abhishek Sharma's innings showcased his exceptional form and batting prowess.
