After wrapping up the ODI series against South Africa, Yashasvi Jaiswal was snubbed from the T20I squad but dazzled in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy stage. But just when the spotlight was back on him, an unwanted setback against Rajasthan added a cruel twist to his redemption run.

Struck by severe stomach pain, Yashasvi Jaiswal was rushed to the hospital before being discharged later. As fans were concerned for his health, Yashasvi Jaiswal penned a heartfelt note, sharing his health update.

Jaiswal offers clarity on his health status

From Team India’s T20I squad, Yashasvi Jaiswal has been a big miss for quite a long time now. But that doesn’t mean the power-hitter is away from the T20 madness. Coming back from the national duty, he joined Mumbai for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, and the world saw some fireworks from him. In just three matches, he scored 145 runs, with an average of 48.33.

But the batter faced an unwanted setback in their last match against Rajasthan, as reports suggest he was experiencing severe stomach cramps. After his condition deteriorated, he was admitted to the hospital in Pune. Soon after, he calmed fans with a reassuring health update, thanking fans for their overwhelming support and love.

“Just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for the overwhelming good wishes over the last few days. I’m recovering well, grateful for the fantastic medical support, and looking forward to being back on the field soon!” he wrote on social media.

Uncertainty looms over Jaiswal’s return in the Vijay Hazare Trophy

In the recently ended Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Yashasvi Jaiswal enjoyed a successful outing. Ahead of that, the Indian opener enjoyed a thrilling ODI series against South Africa. After struggling in the first two matches, he shut down the critics with his maiden ODI ton in the third match. Channeling his excellence, he smashed an outstanding hundred against Haryana in the SMAT 2025.

But just after his heroics, he was diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis and advised complete rest. As the Vijay Hazare Trophy is starting within just a few days, reportedly, he has not been included in Mumbai’s squad. The MCA confirmed that once he receives medical clearance, Jaiswal will make his much-anticipated return to the team.
