India, England's Upcoming WTC Assignments After A Thrilling Series

The inaugural Anderson-Tendulkar trophy witnessed a string of nail-biting contests. After kickstarting the tour with a morale-shattering defeat, India bounced back with a remarkable win at Edgbaston.

However, England took a crucial lead by winning the subsequent encounter at Lord's, which also saw a valiant effort from Ravindra Jadeja on the final day. Jadeja once again starred with the bat at Old Trafford, helping India draw the game alongside Washington Sundar with a memorable hundred.

The fifth and final encounter at Kennington Oval produced a Test match for the ages, with India sealing the cliffhanger by just six runs on the final day.

Talking about India, the Shubman Gill-led side will take on West Indies in their next assignment of the WTC 2025-27. Meanwhile, England will undergo a litmus test Down Under, taking on Australia in the much-anticipated Ashes starting in November.
