In a significant development, Chris Woakes has shown bravery on the fifth and final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy as the right-arm seamer walked to bat despite a broken shoulder. Notably, Woakes, who was ruled out of the fifth Test on Day 1 because of a dislocated Shoulder, replicated Pant's 4th Test heroics and came to bat with a sling on his broken arm.
Before the start of play, England required just 35 runs to win and India needed four wickets. The Shubman Gill-led side got off to the perfect start as they took three early wickets.
