The Rohit Sharma-led young Indian team thrashed England and claimed the series win with one Test still left in the series. This outright win helped India solidify their second position in the World Test Championship (WTC) Points Table and also helped to continue their winning streak at home with their 17th consecutive Test series win.

Being one down after the Hyderabad Test, India have managed to seal the series with straight three wins and that too without the likes of KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami. Rohit Sharma undoubtedly led from the front, scoring a half-century during the vital chase, helping India win the Ranchi Test and also completed 4,000 runs in Test cricket.

India have already marked their presence in both the World Test Championship Finals and with yet another series win, they are inching closer to their aim of making it to the WTC Final 2025. This series turned out to be a positive one for the Indian team in terms of extracting new talents in the form of Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel and Akash Deep, who showed great composure throughout their game time.

Here's how the WTC Points Table looks after India's win in the Ranchi Test:

At the halfway stage, India have managed to claim a position in the top two and with ten Test matches left in this WTC 2023-25 cycle against Bangladesh and New Zealand at home and five Tests in Australia, India are keen to find themselves in another final of the WTC Final.
