Seems like the Royal Challengers Women (RCB) have started the Women's Premier League (WPL) auction 2024 on a high. The RCB think tank have drafted in Australia's Georgia Wareham in their side.

The Aussie leg-spinner has been roped in for INR 40 lakh, which is a steal for someone as talented as Wareham.  The RCB team, led by Smriti Mandhana bought a team full of superstar last year, but failed to clear the group stage. One of the pedominent reason for their downfall was a lack of spin bowling option, which has been solved with the arrival of Wareham.

At the start of the auction, RCB had 3.35 crore in their kitty and have spent 40 lakh to recruit a top player into their side. The team from Bengaluru still have 6 slots to fill in, with two positions left for overseas buys.

Talking about Wareham, she has played in 46 T20Is for Australia, and has picked up 44 wickets, at an average of 15.97 and economy of 6.23.

Apart from Wareham, some other big players have also been sold in the WPL auction, Phoebe Litchfield, the Aussie sensation has been sold to Gujarat Giants, and England's Dani Wyatt has gone to UP Warriorz.
