The WPL Auction 2024 kicked off with a bang in Mumbai on Saturday, and the England contingent saw some interesting moves. One notable transfer was the sale of Dani Wyatt to UP Warriorz for a commendable sum of ₹30 lakh.

The 32-year-old all-rounder, known for her right-handed batting and right-arm off-break bowling, was a notable miss in the previous auction, but this time around, UP Warriorz seized the opportunity.

In the first set of concluded deals, Phoebe Litchfield found a new home with Gujarat Giants for a whopping ₹1 crore. Wyatt, who recently showcased her prowess with a blistering half-century against India, promises to be a formidable force, especially in the cricketing hub of Mumbai.

Danielle Nicole Wyatt, a serious contender in the international circuit, has consistently impressed with her performances. Her promotion to the opening spot in the English women’s T20I side proved fruitful, culminating in a spectacular 100 off just 57 balls in a crucial victory. With 2602 runs in 150 WT20Is at an impressive strike rate of 127.42, Wyatt brings not only experience but also a knack for impactful innings to the UP Warriorz.
