The buzz has started for the IPL Auctions 2024, which is set to take place in Dubai next month. However, before that, teams have to submit their list of retained and released players.
So far, we have talked about the likes of Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings, but all the headlines heading into the retention/release deadline day was hogged by Gujarat Titans.
It was speculated that the captain of the Titans, Hardik Pandya has decided to part ways with the franchise and will join Mumbai Indians, the team with whom he won 4 IPL titles. However, all the speculations and permutations and combinations were put to rest when it was announced that Gujarat Titans have managed to retain the services of Pandya for the upcoming IPL season.
However, the saga took yet another turn, when a few hours later the official confirmation came that the deal has been struck between the two parties and Pandya will indeed join the Mumbai Indians.
The list of all the retained/released GT players are out, so let us have a closer look at it, and the remaining amount the franchise has for the auction next month.

GT fans got the big news that Hardik Pandya has been retained, however, their hearts were broken when the news broke that the skipper of the team has been acquired by MI. The core of the team, comprising of Shubman Gill, David Miller, Rashid Khan have all been retained by the Titans, which is a good sign for the former IPL champions.
