The third edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) saw thrilling performances, record-breaking knocks, and game-changing spells. From match-winning innings to breathtaking bowling efforts, several players left an indelible mark on the tournament. Here’s a look at the top five standout performances of WPL 2025.  

1. Harmanpreet Kaur (66 Off 44 vs DC)

Mumbai Indians’ (MI) skipper Harmanpreet Kaur silenced all doubts with an exceptional campaign, leading her side to their second WPL title. She made 302 runs in 10 innings at a blistering strike rate of 154.87.  

Her finest moment came in the final against Delhi Capitals, where she played a captain’s knock of 66 off 44 balls. After MI’s openers fell early, she, along with Nat Sciver-Brunt, stitched a crucial 89-run partnership, stabilising the innings and setting up a winning total. 

2. Nat Sciver-Brunt ( 3/30 vs DC)

Nat Sciver-Brunt was the most dominant player of WPL 2025, securing the Orange Cap with 523 runs at an astonishing average of 65.37 and a strike rate of 152.27. 

In the final, she contributed a valuable 30 off 28 balls, but it was her bowling that truly made the difference. Sciver-Brunt picked up three crucial wickets, maintaining an economy rate of 7.50. Her all-around show in the summit clash showcased her big-match temperament and sealed MI’s second title.  

3. Beth Mooney (96* Off 59 vs UP Warriorz)

Gujarat Giants’ Beth Mooney played one of the finest innings of the tournament, smashing an unbeaten 96 off 59 balls against UP Warriorz. Opening the innings at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, the Australian batter dominated the opposition, hammering 17 boundaries at a staggering strike rate of 162.71.  

Despite her incredible effort, she fell short of a century, thanks to a brilliant final over from UP Warriorz spinner Sophie Ecclestone. 

4. Georgia Voll (99* Off 56 vs RCB)

UP Warriorz’ Georgia Voll delivered a masterclass in power-hitting, scoring an unbeaten 99 off 56 balls against defending champions RCB. Her innings powered UPW to a mammoth 225/5, eventually sealing a thrilling 12-run win and eliminating RCB from the tournament.  

The 21-year-old displayed supreme confidence and attacking prowess, smashing 17 fours. Although she narrowly missed out on a century, her knock remains one of the defining innings of WPL 2025.  

5. Amelia Kerr (5/38 vs UP Warriorz)

Mumbai Indians’ Amelia Kerr became the first bowler in franchise history to take a five-wicket haul in the WPL. The Kiwi all-rounder produced a sensational spell against UP Warriorz in Lucknow, finishing with figures of 4-0-38-5.  

Her ability to break partnerships and strike at crucial moments turned the game in MI’s favour and her spell was one of the most defining moments of WPL 2025.
