On September 15, 2024, during the Champions Cup match between Stallions and Markhors, Babar Azam delivered a remarkable display of batting at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium. The Pakistani captain faced off against Shahnawaz Dahani, a fast bowler, and launched an impressive assault.

Babar scored 45 runs off 45 balls, including an over in which he struck Dahani for five consecutive fours. His composed and effortless strokeplay enthralled the audience, as he managed to punish Dahani’s bowling with sheer elegance.

Shahnawaz Dahani’s Reaction To Babar Azam's 5 Fours

Following the match, Shahnawaz Dahani posted a video clip of Babar’s incredible performance on X (formerly Twitter). In his tweet, Dahani expressed admiration for Babar's brilliance, marveling at how easily the star batter handled his bowling.

"Just Cannot stop watching this again & again. Don't think I would be able to sleep tonight. I just cannot understand, how Babar made it look so easy.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔," Dahani humorously wrote.

However, the post quickly went viral, sparking widespread reactions from fans. While some appreciated Dahani’s humility and sportsmanship, others took issue with his response. Critics questioned his self-respect, accusing him of "fan-boying" over Babar Azam.

The backlash highlighted the intensity of rivalry and expectations in professional cricket. The public trolling that followed overshadowed Dahani’s candid praise of Babar, with fans calling out the pacer for not taking the incident in stride.

Despite the viral nature of Dahani's tweet, the Stallions lost the match, with Babar’s valiant efforts unable to save the day. The Stallions are now set to face Dolphins in their next match on September 19 at the same venue.
