Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan found himself in the spotlight once again, but not for his batting. During a press conference ahead of the PSL 2025, the Multan Sultans captain was brutally trolled by a reporter for his infamous “win and learn” comment.

Rizwan has been facing a lot of criticism lately. Under his leadership, Pakistan had a poor run in the Champions Trophy 2025, failing to win a single match. The team also suffered heavy defeats in recent ODI and T20I series.

Moreover, his press interview remarks have further put him under the spotlight. Most recently, he was trolled for his ‘win learn’ comment during the PSL 2025 media event.

Rizwan Mocked As Reporter Brings Up Win-Learn Comment

PSL 2025 season is set to begin on April 11 with Lahore Qalandars taking on Islamabad United. Ahead of the event, PSL hosted a press conference featuring captains of all franchises.

Mohammad Rizwan, who is under pressure after a tough few months as a player and captain, was speaking about his team, Multan Sultans' preparations for the upcoming PSL season.

He said that his team focuses only on what’s in their control and leaves the rest to God. However, a reporter took a cheeky dig at him, asking, “We’ve learned a lot under your captaincy, so will Multan Sultans return to win now?”

The comment left many in the room stunned, but Rizwan responded calmly and positively.

“We’ve never worried about results. What’s in our control, we focus on that. As for the results, whether it’s a win or a learn, that’s up to Allah. We have no issues with that.”

Mohammad Rizwan Threatens to Step Down as ODI Captain: Reports

Pakistan white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan is reportedly considering stepping down from the ODI captaincy after a major fallout with the PCB and head coach Aaqib Javed.

According to a report by IANS, Rizwan is upset over his exclusion from the recent T20I series against New Zealand and is demanding greater authority over team selections.

Sources also claim Rizwan is planning to meet PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi in the coming days to seek clarity on his role and influence within the team. If the meeting does not result in Rizwan being granted more control, he may walk away from his leadership role in ODIs.
