The electrifying evening kicks off in style as the M Chinnaswamy Stadium buzzes with excitement, with RCB locking horns with Delhi Capitals. As RCB returns to their home ground, fans are a little more excited, and their blazing start added spark to it.

Kohli and Salt ignited the innings with a blazing start, setting the stage on fire. Salt’s explosive hitting powered RCB to their second-fastest team fifty in IPL history.

RCB Unlocks Another Unreal Milestone

As the fans are witnessing the 24th match of the ongoing IPL 2025, M Chinnaswamy Stadium is witnessing a thrilling clash as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru are taking on Delhi Capitals. While batting first, RCB had a dream start and achieved a thrilling milestone in the cash-rich league.

As the Kohli-Salt duo came to open the innings, the DC bowlers took a back seat as RCB’s opening duo shattered the big stage.  As Kohli anchored the innings from one end, Salt became destructive. The third over saw absolute fireworks as Phil Salt tore into Mitchell Starc, smashing four boundaries and two towering sixes in a single over, setting the stage on fire.

That unlocked a new milestone for the side. After the team crossed the 50-run mark only in the 3rd over, RCB registered their second-fastest team 50 in IPL. Their record-breaking fastest remains untouched from 2011 when they smashed 50 in just 2.3 overs against Kochi Tuskers Kerala, a feat that still tops the charts.

After a destructive start, Phil Salt departed in an unfortunate run-out, scoring 37 runs in 17 deliveries. Coming in as the number 3 batter, Devdutt Padikkal departed, scoring only 1 run. Those consecutive dismissals added pressure. The DC bowlers secured momentum as Vipraj Nigam sent Kohli back in 22 runs.
