In an astonishing innings, Haryana opener Yashvardhan Dalal scored a quadruple century in the CK Nayudu Trophy contest against Mumbai. He slammed 46 fours and 12 sixes and still remained unbeaten at the end of Day 2, with a potential opportunity to convert it into 500 on Day 3.
CK Nayudu Trophy, one of India’s oldest domestic tournaments, hosted a contest between Haryana and Mumbai at Gurugram Cricket Ground (SRNCC). Haryana batted first, and opener Yashvardhan Dalal turned it into a one-sided affair due to his unreal hitting skills.
He converted his quick hundred into a record breaking quadruple century. At the end of Day 2 on Saturday, Yashvardhan Dalal had 426 runs off 463 balls to his name, including 46 fours and 12 sixes. Notably, Dalal still remains unbeaten and can potentially convert his record inning into a 500 total if his team supports him from the other end.
Notably, Dalal surpassed Sameer Rizvi’s previous record of highest score registered in CK Nayudu Trophy where he scored 312 off 266 balls against Saurashtra.
Who Is Yashvardhan Dalal?
Yashvardan Dalal was born and brought up in Jhajjar city of Haryana. Primarily a right-handed batter, Dalal also bowls off-spin. He rose to fame with 237 runs innings in the U-16 league, which helped his team, Haryana Cricket League, register 452/5 in just 40 overs.
Yashvardhan also scored multiple half-centuries in Cooch Behar Trophy and is well-known as an emerging talent with the potential to make it big.
According to Cricheroes, Yashvardhan Dalal has so far featured in 112 professional games in which he scored 4682 runs and also scalped 65 wickets. His average is 58.53, with 11 centuries and 28 fifties. In bowling, Dala’s best figures include 4/7 with a 4.25 economy and 17.08 average.
This innings will indeed help him rise through the ranks quickly, and with the IPL 2025 mega auction scheduled for later this month, Yashvardhan Dalal has grabbed some eyeballs.
