In a heartwarming moment, former Indian captain, MS Dhoni was captured enjoying a relaxed holiday with daughter Ziva in Phuket city of Thailand. Images of his holiday were shared on Ziva’s Instagram handle, which is managed by his mother Sakshi Dhoni.

Former Indian cricketer, MS Dhoni, recently retained by CSK as an uncapped player for INR 4 crores, is confirmed to return in the IPL 2025 season. Fans strongly voted for his inclusion, and at the age of 43, Dhoni believes he is still fit enough to play as a wicket-keeper finisher for potentially a full season. 

Moreover, since MS Dhoni last played an international game 5 years ago, he was allowed to be retained in the uncapped category for a significantly lower price. Hence, CSK will benefit with the extra cash in hand as they enter a decisive mega auction.

MS Dhoni spotted in Thailand with family

Meanwhile, before the IPL madness begins, MS Dhoni enjoys his off-time by relaxing with family. He visited Phuket city of Thailand to spend some quality time at the beach with daughter Ziva and wife Sakshi. In multiple photos and videos shared on Ziva’s Instagram, MS Dhoni was seen enjoying the sea while Ziva watches him. In a video, Ziva joins Dhoni in the water, with the two sharing laughs. 

Amid this holiday, MS Dhoni’s CSK fans eagerly anticipate his appearance in the 2025 IPL edition while the franchise prepares for the upcoming auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

MS Dhoni, Ruturaj, and Jadeja retained by CSK

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) decided on 5 retentions ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. Ruturaj Gaikwad, the skipper, was first retention with INR 18 crore followed by Matheesha Pathirana, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni. As for the mega auction, CSK has set eyes on Rishabh Pant, who is a free agent after Delhi Capitals (DC) released him at the deadline on October 31.
