Yuvraj Singh's six sixes in an over still holds a special place in the heart of the fans. That was the same inning where he smashed the fastest half-century which came off in just 12 deliveries. Today, in the ongoing Asian Games 2023, Dipendra Singh Airee broke the record of Yuvraj Singh by smashing the half-century off just 9 deliveries smashing eight sixes. 

Until today, no one would have heard the name of Dipendra in the cricket world but today with his blistering knock of 52 runs off just 10 deliveries. He is becoming popular among cricket fans due to his exceptional knock and they are curious to know more about the Nepalese cricketer. 

Here are a few facts that you should know about Dipendra Singh Airee:

Dipendra is just 22 years old and a Nepalese all-rounder who was in the team which played the first-ever ODI for Nepal. He was in the U-19 Nepal team in the 2016 U-19 World Cup and became the captain of the Under-19 team for the 2017 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

He was also part of the Bronze medal-winning team at the 2019 Asian Games. And now he has smashed the fastest T20I fifty in the Asian Games 2023 against Mongolia. Last year, he smashed his maiden ODI century against Papua New Guinea. 

He has over 1100 T20I runs and also has a T20I century to his name. He averages over 37 which is as good as one of the greats of T20I cricket. With the skills of his off-spin bowling, he has grabbed 22 T20I wickets. Nepal will be playing the qualifiers in October for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
