Recently, a clip of the former cricketer Kapil Dev has been shared by a few cricketers showing concern for him. In the viral video, Kapil Dev was being taken by two men and stranded along with a tape on his mouth. 

Even Gautam Gambhir also tweeted sharing the clip, asking if he is Kapil Dev or not. Kapil Dev was the captain of the 1983 World Cup-winning team and is also considered one of the best all-rounders in the world. 

Now after a day, Disney+Hotstar have shared a clip of Kapil Dev which explains everything about Kapil Dev's kidnapping.

It turns out that it was a promotional video for the upcoming World Cup 2023. It has an interesting storyline of kidnapping Kapil Dev and demanding 'No Electricity Cuts During the World Cup' and mentioning that Hotstar will be streaming the entire World Cup games for free. 

In the ad, the village people kept the cricketer hostage in return for the Police's promise but Polimen offered the information about Hotstar and Kapil Dev was released. 

India will be kick-starting their World Cup campaign against Australia on the eighth of October in Chennai.
