'I Love Virat Kohli,' Shah Rukh Khan On His Bonding & Affection For King Kohli

Cricket and Bollywood are two of the most widespread forms of entertainment in India, and when they combine, it often create history.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has often been vocal about his love for the sport, which includes him owning several T20I franchises, such as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR). 

Fondly known as King Khan, in his now famous #AskSRK session on social media platform 'X', the 56-year-old actor opened up about former India captain Virat Kohli on Wednesday evening.

Both SRK and Kohli share a cordial relationship and have praised each other on public occasions. However, both are referred to as KINGS' of their respective fields, which have created a tussle between fandoms.  

Khan responding to a similar question, called King Kohli his own and called their relation as son-in-law.

Here's what SRK wrote

"I love @imVkohli he is like my own and I pray always for his well being….bhai damaad jaisa hai humaara!!!"


Interestingly, both hail from Delhi, and Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma, made her Bollywood debut alongside Khan in the highly acclaimed 2008 movie ' Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'.

Earlier in IPL 2023, post Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens, both SRK and Kohli were seen grooving to "Jhoome Joh Pathaan" while engaging in a long chat.
