The league’s resounding success over the years promises yet another exhilarating and blockbuster season this time around, with numerous high-octane clashes and star-studded player battles on offer for fans of the sport.

The ever-growing popularity of the IPL since its inception has even prompted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to take proactive steps in bringing the tournament closer to every cricket fan across the country. As a result, the BCCI began the IPL fan park initiative back in 2015. Since the tradition is set to continue in IPL 2025, here we take a detailed look at the entire concept of IPL fan parks.

What is an IPL fan park?

Organized by the BCCI, the IPL fan parks are majorly conducted in cities which does not hosts IPL cricket matches for fans in general. To compensate for lack of live cricketing action, these fan parks offer a stadium-like experience for fans with giant screens and an electrifying atmosphere, ensuring that the visiting supporters can immerse themselves in the thrill of the IPL despite not having a home venue nearby.

While the entry is absolutely free at IPL fan parks, the fans will only be required to spend on food and for buying merchandises inside. Last year, during the IPL 2024 season, the BCCI set up IPL fan parks across 50 cities.
