Former legendary Indian and CSK captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has been one of the most influential figures in the world of cricket, is still making heads turn at the age of 43. Gearing up for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Dhoni is prepping hard before the season begins.
MS Dhoni Smashes Pathirana For A Helicopter Shot
During one of the practice sessions organized by CSK at their home in MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, MS Dhoni, a seasoned player at the age of 43 after retiring from international cricket back in 2020, is still playing shots right from the middle of his willow.
In a recent video going viral on social media, Dhoni smashed Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana over his head for a six with his trademark helicopter shot, reminding fans of his iconic helicopter against Lasith Malinga back in the day.
Despite being away from the game for most of the time, the right-hander is still middling the ball in the practice sessions continuously, as he has maintained the full swing of his bat-like in his early days.
Fondly known as "Thala" among his fans, Dhoni has a cult following in the nation due to his iconic stroke play and tactical brilliance that he has displayed over the 17 years in the IPL, beginning in 2008, helping them lift five IPL trophies so far.
