Former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is sharing his deep insights and potential strategies for IPL franchises these days ahead of the 2025 season. All set to re-join the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise for IPL 2025, Ashwin took to his YouTube channel and discussed about the match between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans while talking with prominent journalist Vimal Kumar.

Ashwin also took this opportunity to namedrop Mumbai Indians mentor Sachin Tendulkar and Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill. Immediately catching the attention of the fans, many were quick to connect the dots to realize Ashwin’s subtle teasing of Sara Tendulkar.

While speaking on his YouTube channel with Vimal Kumar, Ravichandran Ashwin interrupted the former to mention Sachin Tendulkar and Shubman Gill in the same sentence. Saying it with a hint of smile on his face, many fans were quick to realize that Ashwin took a sly dig at Sachin’s daughter Sara Tendulkar, who is reportedly dating Shubman, at least as per internet rumors. The former Indian all-rounder said:

“Ek taraf Sachin Tendulkar hai, doosri taraf Shubman Gill, GT ka captain. Theek hai, baat karo.”


Nonetheless, Ravichandran Ashwin himself is prepping up to play for the CSK franchise in the upcoming IPL 2025 season. The legendary Indian all-rounder recently joined the CSK camp after he was roped in by the franchise last year during the IPL 2025 mega auction.

A couple of months ago, Ashwin confirmed his retirement from international cricket during India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 Test series in Australia.

Under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad, the CSK franchise will play its opening match of the IPL 2025 season on March 23 against fellow five-time winners Mumbai Indians at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
