Team India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has reacted to Ravichandran Ashwin's breathtaking spell in the second ODI match against Australia on Sunday, September 24 at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore. 

In the second ODI, India posted 399 runs on the scoreboard after putting to bat first. Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer stood out with centuries, while KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav added to the fireworks with stunning half-century knocks.

After India's innings, it seemed like the Holkar Stadium pitch was a batting paradise, as Indian batters took the Australian bowlers to the cleaners. However, the narrative took a sharp turn when India took the field to bowl, particularly when Ravichandran Ashwin took charge.

In a brilliant display of off-spin bowling, the veteran spinner consistently extracted turn off the pitch and dismantled Australia's chase with three big wickets. After that, the Men in Yellow couldn't bounce back, got all-out for 209, and ended up losing by a whopping 99 runs (thanks to the DLS method).

Yuzvendra Chahal, the star leg-spinner of India looked highly impressed with Ashwin's performance against Australia as he took to X (formerly Twitter) to shower praise on the Tamil Nadu spinner. Here’s what he wrote:

Ravichandran Ashwin made a comeback to the Indian ODI team after a hiatus of nearly 1.5 years, filling in for the injured Axar Patel. Ashwin has made the most of this opportunity and showcased his brilliance right from the first ODI match. If Axar Patel doesn't recover in time, it's highly probable that R Ashwin will step in as his replacement in the World Cup squad.
