Team India made a sensational start in the second ODI against Australia after being put into bat first. Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill orchestrated a breathtaking 200-run partnership for the second wicket, rescuing the team after Ruturaj Gaikwad's early dismissal.

In the midst of Gill and Shreyas Iyer's aggressive stance against the Australian bowlers, former England captain Michael Vaughan projected that India was on track to achieve a total of 400 runs, attributing this to the stellar form and performance of Gill and Iyer.

Meanwhile, the ex-Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer, celebrated for his good-humoured exchanges, had a witty comeback to Michael Vaughan's post. He shared a picture of lemons and chilli, symbols commonly used in India to ward off jinxing and the evil eye.

Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer unleashed a flurry of runs, each reaching their respective centuries. Gill's explosive innings yielded 104 runs off 97 balls, adorned with six boundaries and four sixes, while Iyer notched up 105 runs from 90 balls, featuring 11 boundaries and three sixes.

Meanwhile, India fell just one run short of 400-runs as they ended up scoring 399 runs at the end of the stipulated 50-overs. Apart from Gill and Iyer's masterclass, captain KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav contributed with dazzling half-century knocks.
