Having impressed against West Indies in his maiden Test series, youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal is gearing up for a challenging time in South Africa in India's upcoming two-Test series, which starts December 26.

Jaiswal featured in India's T20I series against the Proteas, which ended in a 1-1 draw, and could not find a place in the One-Day International (ODI) side, which is currently engaged in a three-match series.

Ahead of the first Test in Centurion, the opener started his preparations in the nets alongside other Tests specialists.

Interestingly, Jaiswal opted to improve his bowling skills and was seen chancing his arm against other Indian batters. The 21-year-old took to the social media site 'Instagram' and showcased his practices with the ball on Monday, captioned "There is no finish line."

The Mumbai-born in List-A cricket has scalped seven wickets in 13 matches, while is yet to pick an international wicket, having bowled just one over in T20Is. Jaiswal could turn into an extra bowling option for India, who mostly prefers a five-bowlers strategy in Tests, with an additional all-rounder.

In two Tests, Jaiswal has scored 266, including a ton on debut against West Indies and a solitary fifty.

In the T20Is against South Africa, Jaiswal displayed fearless cricket and provided India explosive start scoring 60 runs in the third match after falling for a duck in the second.
