Young Lucknow Super Giants Seamer Yash Thakur executed a commendable direct hit to get rid of ace RCB finisher Dinesh Karthik in the 19th over in the ongoing group-stage game between the two teams in Lucknow. RCB, who had a glimmer of hope to breach the 140-run mark, lost the plot after Karthik's departure, finishing on 126 for nine in 20 overs.

The incident occurred in the 19th over, when Karthik was batting alongside premier all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga. After keeping it tight for three deliveries, Yash Thakur delivered a slower ball on the short of length, which was miscued by Hasranga, as the ball went straight back to the bowler.

However, Karthik was way out of the crease at the non-striker's end and all it needed was a direct hit from Thakur to send the keeper-batter packing. The youngster showcased his accuracy with the throw, hitting the bull's eye from quite some distance and compelling Karthik to make his way back to the dugout.

As a result of Karthik's dismissal, RCB couldn't get the final flourish towards the backend of their innings, posting a sub-par total on Lucknow's two-paced surface.

Speaking of Thakur, the right-arm pacer had another impressive outing with the ball, conceding only 12 runs in his two-over spell.
