IPL 2023 | Amit Mishra Surpasses  Malinga, Ashwin to Become Third Highest Wicket-taker in IPL

Amit Mishra is an IPL legend, the man has been the part of IPL from the inaugural season and after 15 long years, he is still going strong. He started off with Deccan Chargers and then went onto play for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals and is now playing for Lucknow Super Giants. He is the only player in IPL history to take three hat-tricks and has now surpassed other legends like Malinga, Ashwin and Piyush Chawla to become the third highest wicket-taker in the IPL.

He has now taken 172 wickets in 160 matches with two wickets against RCB in the 43rd match of IPL 2023 while playing for LSG. Piyush Chawla, Ravi Ashwin and Lasith Malinga all have got 170 wickets in the IPL and though Mishra has not played as much as international cricket as Ashwin and Malinga, he still is considered one of the best leg-spinners India have produced.

Mishra got to his 171th wicket when he outfoxed Faf du Plessis and then went onto take another one of Suyash Prabhudessai.

Dwayne Bravo sits at the top of the list of wicket-takers with 183 wickets. Yuzvendra Chahal is second in the list with just five wickets behind him, and Mishra has now moved up the ladder with two wickets in the LSG-RCB game.
