Lucknow Super Giants' promising spinner Ravi Bishnoi weaved his magic for the umpteenth time, as his twin strikes derailed Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing group-stage fixture of the IPL 2023.

After opting to bat first, RCB got off to a steady start, thanks to a 62-run opening stand between Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. While Du Plessis struck some glorious boundaries in the power play, Kohli struggled to get going on the sluggish Lucknow deck.

However, as both batters looked all set for big scores, young LSG spinner Ravi Bishnoi stepped up for the home side, dismissing Kohli for 31 in the ninth over.

After RCB's number three, Anuj Rawat, departed for nine, the dangerous Glenn Maxwell joined hands with Du Plessis in the middle. Considering how Maxwell has fared in the IPL this season, his wicket held paramount importance for LSG.

Stand-in skipper Krunal Pandya's call to bring his trump card Bishnoi back into the attack proved to be a masterstroke, as he deceived Maxwell with a stock ball, trapping him plumb in front of the stumps.

The 22-year-old finished his spell with sensational figures of two for 21. As a result of his bowling masterclass, RCB are reeling on 92 for four in 15 overs at the time of writing.
