The defending champions, Gujarat Titans (GT), will be taking on the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 44th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023). The match will be played at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, 2nd May, at 7:30 PM IST. However, before the match goes live, here is a look at the GT vs DC head-to-head record.

The Gujarat Titans have played like the defending champions in the tournament so far. They have played eight matches in the tournament and managed to win six. Currently, GT is at the top of the table and will be looking to stay there by the end of the league stage easing their way to the summit clash of the tournament. 



Last Match: Gujarat Titans played their last match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Hardik Pandya won the toss in the match and invited the home team to bat first. 

Kolkata Knight Riders posted a total of 170 runs on the board in their 20 overs, courtesy of a brilliant knock of 81 off 39 balls by Rahmanullah Gurbaz. In the chase, Shubman Gill laid the foundation for the team scoring a 49 off 35 balls, on which Vijay Shankar consolidated with a fiery knock of 51 from 24 balls. David Miller provided the finishing touches as he scored 32 runs off 18 balls and took GT across the line with seven wickets in hand and seven balls to spare in the match.

DC in IPL 2023

The Delhi Capitals are having a torrid time in the tournament. They have played Eight matches in the tournament and lost six. The David Warner-led side is lingering at the bottom of the table with only four points in eight matches. 

Last Match: In the previous match, the Delhi Capitals faced off against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Arun Jaitely Cricket Stadium in Delhi. Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bat first in the match. 

Abhishek Sharma (67 off 36) and Heinrich Klaasen (53 off 27) helped them to a formidable total of 197 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. 

In the chase, the Capitals lost David Warner early, but Mitchell Marsh (63 off 39) and Phil Salt (59 off 35) steadied the ship and took the team close to victory. But the lower-order batters failed to hold on to their nerves, and in the end, the Capitals lost the match by nine runs.

The two teams played against each other in the seventh match of the tournament. Hardik Pandya won the toss in the match and decided to field first. 

It required a team effort from the Delhi batters to reach a moderate total of 162 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs. The Titans chased it down relatively comfortably as Sai Sudharsan left the effort with a polished knock of 62 runs from 48 balls. David Miller finished the chase with a 31 off 16 taking GT to a seven-wicket with 11 balls left in the match. 

It is a chance to avenge their previous loss to the Capitals, while on the other hand, the Titans will look to complete a hattrick of victories against the particular opponents.
